This is where energy storage systems (ESS) save the day. Since some renewable energy sources, including solar and wind, produce power in a fragmented manner, ESS play a vital role in green energy infrastructure by stabilizing the electricity supply.
Specific storage solutions might be chosen based on the application's performance needs. For large-scale energy storage applications, pumped-hydro and thermal energy storage systems are ideal, whereas battery energy storage systems are highly recommended for high power and energy requirements.
Renewable energy sources such as wind and solar are intermittent.
